Can I get a drum-roll please?
Because I’m super excited to announce that I have FINALLY finished re-recording my free course, Mastering the Etsy Algorithm! Hurraaahh! That only took a year… :-/ I guess that’s what happens when you’re running a magazine, working on a new YouTube/Podcast show, remodeling an office, and researching your own product line ideas. Yikes!
I’m long past due getting this done because my original videos had terrible and distracting noises in the background. In fact, if you look at the course reviews you’ll see that the ones under 5-stars came from people who didn’t care for the audio quality, and I sure don’t blame them! It was awful!! Long story short, I was so excited to record in my new downtown office that I didn’t think about all the traffic noise that seeps through the walls of a historical building (AKA an OLD building). Woops…
That started me on a 7 – 8 month journey of remodeling my home office/craft room and turning it into a recording studio. Once that was done, I was good to go on recording all the training material I wanted without the annoyance of traffic noises and random people screaming back and forth across the street corners (yes, that happened while I was recording).
Super Duper Awesome New Content
Of course, there were other reasons for re-doing the series as well. Although most of the content is evergreen, there were still some things that became outdated. I also wanted to add new content and beef up the course a bit. The biggest additions come in the Branding and Target Market Research modules. I even went over a tool that shows you approximately how much sellers are making from their products on Amazon. Whaaaat?? Yes, that’s a real tool and it’s even free to use!
- Find lucrative niches that other sellers aren’t aware of (this part is fun!)
- See approximately how much sellers on Amazon are making from their products
- Stop uploading a ton listings (get sales for the ones you have)
- Stop worrying about algorithm changes (they won’t affect you)
- Stop worrying about copycat sellers
- Stop playing “favathon” and “like” games on Facebook
