The October magazine is live and we have some perfectly timed stories lined up for you! The holiday shopping season is now officially here which means that we’re all rushing to create more products and fill more orders. If you want to try and control the chaos, you’ll love Jenny’s story about selling her products in limited batches rather than accepting orders as they come in. It not only put her back in control, but it increased her sales! And if you’re struggling to find buyers for your products, then check out Hara’s story! When she launched her business she received very little interest. But then she was able to find her target market and she’s sharing how she did it! And of course, we have lots of other great topics as well such as Tia’s story about throwing a launch party for her candle business!
Hara Felt Like There Wasn’t a Market for Her Products
We love Hara’s story because it’s one that so many of us can relate to! When she first launched her business and started trying to sell her paper flowers, she didn’t get much interest in her products and spent long hours at craft fairs that only resulted in a few sales. But she didn’t give up and later went on to figure out who her target market is. She also has tips for other sellers who are trying to figure out what kind of people would buy their products!
” I wasn’t sure who my target market was and assumed that my products would garner a lot of interest. I was so wrong. After spending a whole week preparing for a craft fair I sold one item in the 6 hours that I was there.”
– Hara Chung @bouquetsenpapier
Jenny’s Business Transformed When She Started Selling “Collections”
We first found Jenny on Instagram and later got to learn more about her story when she filled out our featured seller application. We were immediately interested in learning more about her because she mentioned that she closely follows market trends and only sells her products in “collections.” Selling in scheduled releases frees up your time, puts you back in control, and creates buyer FOMO (fear of missing out). The strategy worked and it was a turning point for Jenny’s business!
“Creating collections became a real turning point in my business. My audience loved the idea and I began getting repeat customers who were collecting my work. Creating collections wasn’t a new concept for me, I had created bodies of artwork during college, but it took me a while to apply the same concept to functional items. “

Tia Hosted a Fabulous Launch Party for Her Business
Tia makes beautiful, unique candles and her story piqued our interest because she planned out her business launch prior to selling her first candle. Part of her strategy was to throw a launch party which we thought was a great idea! Read her story to learn about the process of launching her business.
“The launch party was a great success and allowed us to not only spread the word about our business but also receive great feedback.”
– Tia Harley @copperculdesac
