The February magazine is live!! The first month of the year was certainly a crazy one at the Handmade Seller! The magazine got a complete makeover which was unplanned, but we love how it turned out! And we began the journey of collaborating with Nikita from She’s Crafted to Thrive to launch a series of podcast interviews. One of those will go live this month! But first, let’s discuss the exciting things in this month’s magazine…
“My insecurities had an impact on my prices.” – Liv
Liv caught our attention while answering the magazine’s Question of the Month! She typed out a long response about how she’d been held back for a long time due to feeling insecure in her products and how to fit in within the fashion industry as a handmade seller. Read her story to learn how she moved out of those insecurities, raised her prices, and now has a brand new studio to showcase her product line!
“My early insecurities about my products had a profound effect on my confidence in selling. It directly affected my prices and marketing. When I first started doing popup shows, I priced lower because I had only been doing leatherworking for a few years.”
-Liv McClintock @tshoregal
“I started by planning the first 6 months of subscription boxes.” -Flavia
We also met Flavia when she answered the Question of the Month in one of our magazine issues. She had mentioned that she was growing her business by 20% each month through paid ads on Instagram and Facebook. Then we later found out that she also turned her handmade planner accessory line into a subscription box! So of course, we just had to feature her story! ❤️ Grab a cup of joe and learn how she’s done it all!
“So far, it’s been amazing! We have grown by 150% and we have dozens of 5-star reviews from subscribers that love their boxes. About 40% of our subscribers have been with us since our first box!”
– Flavia Gabriel @thefabulousplanner
