If you’re planning on doing any local marketing, you’ll need a way to display your products in an attractive way. Unfortunately, the cost of shelving units, tables and signage adds up really quickly. Some companies charge over $300 for a single display. Depending on the size of your product line and the size of your vendor space, you may need multiple peices of furniture. Yikes. This makes it hard to get going, but luckily there are plenty of ways to get creative.
Here are some fun displays made with crates! You can even use these for creative photo staging as well!
1. Budget Craft Fair Crate Display
This display is simple, yet inviting and cohesive. We like that the seller puts a wood top on the table rather than setting the crates difectly on top of the table cloth. Clever! Somehow this seems to pull the whole display together.

2. Clothing Hanger Crate
This is creative, moble and seems to be an “doable” DIY project. If you sell clothing, hanging pottery or hanging plants, this could be a great addition to your booth! And if you roll this in front of a nice background, you’d get some fabulous product pictures with it!

3. Painted Crate Display
If natural wood doesn’t match your brand, why not paint it? The great thing about paint is that you can make everything in your booth match.

4. Artisan Stacking Crate Display
Okay, this one isn’t exactly DIY. It’s made by a company that specializes in designing rustic shelving and they have a very large variety of display options. Some of them are best suited for a store, but there are plenty of smaller displays that could be portable enough to take to local shows. Notice how they roll?

5. Stacked Crates
It doesn’t get more simple than this. Since these are just stacked, you can easily transport them to local shows. The downside is that shoppers will have to walk around the entire display to see what’s in the back. Or is that a good thing? 😉

6. Crates for Photo Staging
If your vendor space is backed up against a sturdy wall, then this stacking method may work for you at a craft fair. If not, this setup is a great way to create your own photo staging area at home!

7. A Crate Used for as a Stand
No one said that you had to put stuff inside the crates! Why not turn them into clever little stands like this one?
