Kyle & Arielle Borcik —
“When Arielle wanted a little extra spending money, I took $100 out of our savings (which was a lot of money for us) and I told her to use this money, not for spending, but to start a business with it. That way the business could give her a little extra spending money every month. She ended up building a successful company with over 15,000 sales and $300,000 in revenue in under three years.
What was crazy was that she did all of this without even owning a computer. She used an old smartphone that was given to us and either connected to wifi or went to the public library.
After I had quit my job, we were looking into the future and decided Etsy was no longer how we wanted to make our living. We built a website and decided to launch a separate brand/line. Once we had our hearts set on our new idea, the Time Necklace, we had to figure out how to launch another successful start-up. That’s why we turned to Kickstarter.”
