The October magazine is live!
We’ve been working with Sable since March to share her amazing story in the Handmade Seller magazine and we’re so excited that the day has finally come to publish it! Sable went from being homeless to owning her own line of vegan beauty products. When she was faced with the challenges of entering a high-competition industry, she got creative. What stands out about Sable’s events is that she doesn’t run them like a typical craft fair or farmers’ market where shoppers come and go over the course of several hours. Instead, the pop-up events are designed to get shoppers there and KEEP them there the whole time. She creates an entertaining environment for everyone (even the vendors)!
Our second featured seller, Stephanie, has been attending national trade shows for several years and she’s been able to expand her business significantly because of them. She’s sharing the list of things she’s learned along the way. And of course, we have so many other goodies for you inside the magazine as well!Â

Sable Gonzales —
“BOOM, it hit me. I had entered a very saturated market. How do I get people to see me amongst every other brand? How do I spread the name of LK Collection?
Then, my first ever event fell into my lap. My friend Marianna had been running her own online business for a couple of years and she reached out to me one day about booking me as a ventor at the pop-up market that she was hosting. I dove in head first and learned how to set up an event that everyone could find success at and how to create my own platform to present my business.”

Stephanie Clarke —
“In 2011(before my wholesale line was even a reality) I attended the National Stationery Show as a guest so I could get a sense of what a trade show was like and what a booth consisted of.
The show was amazing, creative and completely overwhelming. I remember leaving the floor of Javits feeling like there was no way I could ever tackle exhibiting. Just the idea of shipping my entire product line and display pieces across the country felt like a daunting task. I left the show convinced I would never display.”
