Goimagine, a handmade marketplace that donates 100% of profits to helping children, launches new features to support the desires of customers to shop local. We asked founder Jon Lincoln to share more about this recently launched initiative.
“As the online economy becomes increasingly global, people are craving the opportunity to support local. That is why goimagine aims to provide the handmade community with a new shop local strategy that connects handmade buyers with local makers & artists in their state.
“goimagine’s support of makers and artists continues to shine through this new shop local initiative.” says founder Jon Lincoln, “By giving local buyers and sellers a place to easily find each other online it is just another way goimagine is committing to supporting the handmade community. “
This month goimagine has unveiled a new “Shop Local” filter within the main search function of the marketplace that easily allows buyers to search and find products that are handmade within their state. Along with that goimagine will be offering curated regional collections giving handmade buyers an easy experience to browse for products made by local makers & artists.”
These aren’t features that are buried, hidden or hard to find. Goimagine has placed these new features prominently on their platform.
Last year, we watched the launch of the local guides for curated shopping. Now this year we see goimagine continuing to build out features to cater to the shopper wanting to keep their spending local. This is a welcome point of differentiation for the platform, and we are excited to see these features continue to be refined and developed further.
