The July magazine is live! Although our first featured seller, Annya, was scheduled back in February, the theme of her story once again comes at the perfect time. Annya opened her Etsy shop in 2015 and had to go through a lot of transformation (rebranding, dropping products, business re-structure, testing, etc.) in order to reach her current level of success. What does she attribute her success to? She didn’t give up, even when she thought she was failing.
In light of the recent economic turmoil, a lot of handmade sellers are facing increasing amounts of doubt and insecurity. Read Annya’s story and get re-inspired and motivated to keep going. We can all get through COVID-19 and we can do it together.
“Keep showing up, even if you think you’re failing! I live by this now as I have seen it happen so many times on my journey. If I stopped engaging and posting on Instagram every time someone didn’t like my photos I probably would have never landed that Maker’s Mark deal. If I had quit after every failed pop-up shop I participated in I would have never learned about a better show that turned out to be my best show.”
– Annya “Annie” White-Brown from NaturalAnnie Essentials
Our second featured seller, Bree, is being very open about a topic many of us have experienced as business owners: procrastination. Ever had a hard time motivating yourself to get through your daily business tasks? Bree is bravely sharing her journey with procrastination and some great tips for making it your friend.
“Procrastination is my own worst enemy and probably one of the biggest obstacles I deal with on a daily basis. Motivating myself to jump on Instagram and do promotions when all I want to do is cuddle my animals and watch HGTV renovation shows is my everyday struggle. But, instead of getting down on myself and adding even more stress to my journey, I’ve worked together with that little ‘p’ word to use it to my advantage.”
– Bree Burke-Gaffey from Breezy Naturals
